The Rizal Community Center is always in need of more helping hands to keep our programs, events and presentations to share Philippine and Philippine American arts and culture available to our community! Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute valuable services to a nonprofit cultural and community center. Applications are accepted at all times. We keep all applications on our waiting list, and will contact applicants with the required skills, interests, and availability for interviews as volunteer positions become available
Volunteers can participate in various types of service, depending on their knowledge, interest and availability. No previous experience is required.. However, qualified candidates should be fluent in English and/or Tagalog, as well as possess a love and appreciation of diversity, arts and culture, a flexible attitude for dealing effectively with the public, proficiency with computers, and an understanding that reliability is critical. We have volunteers who make a weekly commitment and those who come in for a special occasion. In general, to volunteer at FACC's Rizal Center, we ask candidates to make a six month commitment and be available for at least two shifts each month, unless otherwise stated in the volunteer requirements.
Volunteers will be given the opportunity to realize their potential and their contribution to be recognized.

We can’t say “thank you” enough to our volunteers. FACC volunteers serve the Rizal Center community throughout the year without any expectations. One of the ways we honor our volunteers is our annual volunteer appreciation luncheon. All volunteers are welcome to attend at no cost, courtesy of the Filipino American Council of Greater Chicago. Additional luncheon guests are $10 per person on a space-available basis.
